Hey guys, great discussion on the adult content of gaming. One thing that I think is worth mentioning is that board games are still somewhat in the 'uncool' category when it comes to kids, that they remember playing with their parents when they were smaller. Most kids actually into this picked up the hobby from their geek parents, uncle, older brother, etc.. So I don't think there is much 'unsupervised' purchase going on. On most boardgaming forums you get plenty of user reviews or discussions and there are always parent gamers giving advice regarding family/kids compatibility. Still, I agree that the industry could be made a bit more professional looking and less open to attacks by putting an appropriate label on the back of the box, just like with video games, music, movies, etc... The only problem that comes with this is the extra money it would cost the developers to officially 'licence' their games. Do we really want this hassle?
