Curt Covert joins Russ and Craig in Episode 101. Curt is the owner and Chief Instigator at Smirk and Dagger Games and the creator of Cutthroat Caverns, Hex Hex, Run for Your Life Candyman and other games that prove "Games are a lot more fun when you can stab a friend in the back".

Up first Curt, Craig, and Russ take a positive look at Kickstarter. How is it helpful and why would a company owner like Curt consider using it?

Later the crew takes a detailed look at the Wizards of the Coast board game "Lords of Waterdeep." Mixing Euro mechanics with a D&D theme?

Raef returns to the third chair to help us celebrate episode 100!! Thanks to all our listeners who helped encourage us to make it this far. This episode is for you.

Up first its a segment that only Raef can dream up: Raef's round table in which Raef asks Russ and Craig all kinds of random questions. What could possibly go wrong?

Later, we asked for it, and you came through. Some of the most amazing listener submitted content we've ever received highlighing favorite D6G moments and other wackiness was sent in for the Episode 100 contest. We play them all, comment on them, and give out lots of prizes.

So please join us as we look back and forward as the D6G passes 100!

Raef returns to the Lost Chapters with Craig and Russ to discuss his favorite TV show: The Walking Dead!

Mar 21, 2012
Angelo Lombardi has been an interview guest on the show in the past, and now he joins us in the third chair. Angelo is the somewhat rare "executive gamer" finding time to game between his duties as COO of a national hotel chain.

Since we had such a busy person on the show we thought it would be a good opportunity to re-visit "Finding Time to Game." How does a busy adult find time to game regularly and balance career and family?

Later, it's a two-fer! We plop on our plaid hats and review both Summoner Wars and Dungeon Run from Plaid Hat Games. Are they fast? Are they fun?

This episode we're joined by Dan Yarrington in the third chair. Dan is the owner of Myriad Games and the driving force behind Game Salute and has over ten years of experience in the game industry.

Up first, we go over what we'd like the to see the game industry do to make our games and gaming experiences better.

Later we head to Arrakis to harvest spice...no that's not right. We review Fantasy Flight Game's "Rex: Final Days of an Empire." Rex is a re-theming of the old Avlon Hill board game "Dune." Do the old rules mesh with the new theme and come out fun?

Geoff Engelstein joins the D6G crew as our third chair. Geoff has contributed the GameTek segment to The Dice Tower podcast for five years, and co-hosts the new podcast Ludology, with Ryan Sturm.  Along with his son Brian he designed The Ares Project, released in 2011 by Z-Man Games.  Geoff has been involved in the gaming hobby for close to 40 years, and considers himself an 'omni-gamer', enjoying wargames, euros, RPGs, miniatures, and everything game-related.

This episode we check out the new 4x space conquest game Eclipse. What does it bring new to the genre?
But up first: We ask Geoff to round up his son Brian and we discuss all the trials, challenges and rewards of designinga game.  What did it take to get their game "The Ares Project" to store shelves?
