Episode 55 is a mega-sode!  The topic of WH40K Horus Heresy just screamed for extra time to do it justice.

But first there is the matter of a contest to resolve.  Listen along with the D6G team as we review the top audio entries in our "Please can I have a copy of Runewars" contest.

After that, it's off to Games Workshop's world of Warhammer 40,000.  Or is it 30,000?  Anyway ... Join us as we explore the details of the new game from Fantasy Flight Games with none-other than Jeff Tidball.  Learn how Jeff came to work on the project, what were the challenges, and where did all the great ideas come from?

And finally, the big review.  The boys dive deep into the innards of the Horus Heresy game.  Is it worth the money?  Does it capture the theme?  And most importantly... is it fun?

All that and our usual 'not too horrible' humor, with features such as:

In Episode 54 we bring you games for all ages, Blue Oyster Cult, Peter Lipton, and even a singing muppet.

Up first the D6G team reviews five games that just about anyone of any age can enjoy.  Great for getting the kids in  your life to the table.  Russ, Craig, and Raef discuss Sorry Sliders, The Black Pirate, Fish Eat Fish, Pengoloo, and Jungle Treasure in detail.

Meanwhile Total Fan Girl has scored an interview with Eric Bloom, the lead singer of Blue Oyster Cult!!  Turns out he's a gamer.

Finally, back by popular demand (or at least that's what Hollywood tells us) Peter Lipton returns with "Inside the Podcasting Studio" and asks Raef, Russ, and Craig the questions everyone wants to know.  (er again, that's what Raef tells us)

All that and our usual 'not too horrible' humor, with features such as:

In Episode 53 the D6G Crew gets back to some games: WHFRP and Runewars!!

Raef has run sesveral sessions of Warhammer Fantasy Role Play 3.0 from Fantasy Flight Games.  Will this new system revolutionize the way we play RPG's?  Or is it a tad too gimmicky?

Later the D6G team dive deep into the realm of Runewars, a new massive boxed game from Fantasy Flight Games also.  This game is loaded with theme and amazing components.

Also, Nicole and Russ made it to PAX East.  Here their thoughts in Achievements in Gaming and Total Fan Girl.

Cryptology, patents, Warmachine Mk 2 and even the CIA all get discussed this episode!  Yep, we're not sure how that happened either.

First up, patents: how do they work and why do you need them?  We had such a great response to our show about Trademarks we asked Romeo from Battlefoam to come on and talk about the how's and why's of patenting something like a fancy pants laser system to cut foam.

Later Total Fan Girl chats with Elonka Dunin, a world renown expert on cryptology who has done work for the CIA!!  But more importantly, she's a gamer.

Finally, the D6G team takes a hard look at Warmachine Mark 2.  The book has been out a couple months now, Force books are on the streets, and the boys have played more than a few games.  Is it everything we hoped for?

Oh, and listen close to the beginning of the show for news about a new product from our friends at Lone Wolf Development!!

It's our 50th show... what are we going to do this time?  Same thing we do every time.

Up first: Russ and Raef take advantage of Craig being out of the studio briefly to discuss their 'tech lairs'.  How are their electronics set up in their homes?  Where do they game?  What systems do they use?  Listeners have been asking, and now we reveal all.

Later, Craig shows up and we decide we better talk about games again.  This time it's a full review of Malifaux from Wyrd miniatures.  Join us as we travel into the strange world of this unique skirmish game.

Ep 49 is a big show:  Trademark Law, gaming mods for the blind, painting tips, and how to build an old west building are all cramed togeather and somehow make sense.  (we hope)

Up first: Tactica Trademark!  Recently one of our sponsors came under fire for sending out C&D letters regarding their trademark.  Since we actually have a lawyer on staff here at the D6G we thought it would be interesting to go through the ins and outs of Trademark and copyright protection for companies in our industry.  Why do they do it, why should we care, and when should we call foul?

We also have Colen McAlister on from "Lone Wolf Development" to discuss the recent Internet flap over their C&D letters.

Later, Total Fan Girl interviews a physics student who came up with an innovative way to modify Settlers of Catan for sight impared players.

Finally, Craig takes control and gives us a bunch of great painting tips focusing on building terrain.  He even gives step by step instructions on how to build a simple "old west" style building.

Ascension, Star Trek, and Sea of Blood all in one show? We cram it all in.

Up first is an interview with Ross Watson of Fantasy Flight Games. He gives us the scoop on Ascension, the latest expansion to the Warhammer 40k RPG Dark Heresy.

Later, Total Fan Girl interviews the lead writter for Cryptic Studio's upcoming MMO Star Trek Online.

Finally the guys set sail in a detailed review of Descent: Sea of Blood. How does this new expansion add to the Descent game system.

What changes are coming to the game industry in 2010?  The D6G team pulls out their crystal ball and attempts to answer that very question.  Heck, we might even be right about one or two.

Later, a favorite segment makes a return: Mulling Mechanics.  This time around we look at board game mechanics.  What are some common mechanics, how do they work, and what do we think of them?

Plus, there may or may not be some discussion of Avatar throughout the episode. We just can't help it.
