We know it's the middle of summer, but winter is coming. So we thought it would be best to start training now with Fantasy Flight Game's latest release "Battles of Westeros, a Battlelore Game." (aka BoW) First the D6G team chats with Robert Kouba, the man behind the new game. What inspired the game? And why base it on the Battlelore system? Later it's time to dive deep into the mechanics of BoW and learn just what makes it tick with a detailed review. Does the game feel like Battlelore? Does it capture the world of George R. R. Martin's Song of Ice and Fire? All that and our other not-too-horrible segments including: - Rapid Fire - The Hollywood Minute - The News - Total Fan Girl - & More
The following fine organizations help make this show possible: Myriad Games, on behalf of friendly, professional gaming stores everywhere.

Hey guys, I just started listening to the podcast & it's fantastic! I played BoW last night, and your ep. made me realize a lot of things we did wrong, so thanks! One correction, though: The leadership card number that comes with every Battle Plan is how many you draw every turn, not your hand size. So if I carry one card over from a previous round, and the leadership card number is 3, then I draw three cards and start the new round with 4 cards. It explicitly says this exact thing on page 12 of the rulebook. Cheers!
